Grants Pass High School Teacher Jann Taylor said she used the program in a class of seniors last year.

“I think it’s about as real-life as you can get, it engages kids in a way that it’s almost like it’s a game of can they successfully balance a budget or not,” Taylor said.

The program is designed to put students in adult financial dilemmas to get them ready for the real world.

Taylor said she was looking for a fun curriculum she could use to teach her students about finances when she found the program.

“I thought it did a really great job in teaching them how to manage money, how to set up a budget, how to understand credit cards and different things about renting an apartment. It just gave a tremendous amount of real-life scenarios and situations and it taught it in a very fun and engaging way,” Taylor said.

She said many of her students enjoyed the program so much they went on to take the advanced version.
