Financial Literacy Software for Kids

TruNorth Federal Credit Union has partnered with Banzai.

It’s a Utah-based company that makes online financial literacy software.

The software is aimed at teachers for use in their classrooms and, best of all, it’s free of charge.

“Part of the credit union philosophy is teaching financial literacy,” TruNorth member advocate Heather Ely said. “It’s part of our social mission, and Banzai is great because it offers teachers a way to engage their students.”

Banzai gets students involved through an interactive website and workbooks that include real-world scenarios. It’s open to all teachers in Marquette County.

“It’s important for younger students to learn about the financial basics, so budgeting, saving, allocating their funds and also saving for short and long-term goals,” Ely said.

Teachers interested in using the Banzai program can visit teachbanzai.com or call 888-8-BANZAI.
