Inside Banzai’s Teaching Resources: Get Started In Just Minutes

Let’s find your aha moment!

Starting a new program or even digging deeper into one you already use may seem daunting, but it doesn't have to be, and it won’t be with the right support.

Like popping a sour candy into your mouth, the anticipation of it may affect you more than the taste. So just take a few minutes right now to get to a point where you feel comfortable enough with Banzai that it starts to feel like it’s supporting you rather than being an unchecked box on that stress-inducing to-do list. Trust me, getting started with Banzai isn’t hard.

Now, keep in mind, many of our teachers are at different starting points: some have yet to sign up, while others are hesitant to take the next steps: creating classrooms, adding students, or exploring our vast number of free resources. With that in mind, this blog is to be used as a check list of starting tasks… If you have already signed up and added students, you can skip those steps and move on to those that better suit your level of Banzai finesse.

Three-Step Sign Up: Create Your FREE Teacher Account

That’s right. If you’re new here, the Banzai platform is 100% free to use: no paywalls, no “premium” features you have to pay for… I mean, we’ve got premium features, they’re just free, at no extra cost. So what are you waiting for? Sign up:

  • Visit banzai.org/teacher.
  • Sign up using Google, Clever, ClassLink, or email.
  • Enter your ZIP code to find and select your school.

Set Up Your First Class

Once you’re in, you’re in for life (if you want to be), meaning we’re not only giving you a free trial, we’re offering you 100% free lifetime support! So make the most of it by setting up your first classroom.

Step 1

Choose the class type you want to use for assignments. For example:

  1. Complete Only Assigned Activities – Students will follow your curated, assignment-based learning pathway through a dashboard of pre-assigned activities.
  2. Explore All Unlocked Activities – Students will have access to all the activities you’ve chosen to keep unlocked, giving them more freedom to explore.

If you select “Complete Only Assigned Activities”:

Your class will run on a specific list of assigned activities, creating a guided and structured learning experience.

If you select “Explore All Unlocked Activities”:

Students will be free to engage with any unlocked activities for a more open and flexible learning experience. This option works well for action-based grading or point systems, where students earn points for completing any activity you’ve made available.

Step 2

Choose which of our interactive courses you want students to complete: Elementary Personal Finance, Middle School Personal Finance, or High School Personal Finance, College & Careers, Digital Citizenship, or Entrepreneurship. (check all that you want to make available to that classroom). Note: You can set up as many classes as you want, so only choose those that apply to that specific group of students for now.

Step 3

Name your class and select the content you'd like your students to explore.Customize your curriculum, lock/unlock games, and preview materials ahead of time.

Add Students

  • Click “Add Students” and share your class code or email them an invite directly.
  • Students can sign up with their own login, and you can track progress right from your dashboard.
