Magnify Credit Union has responded to this underserved subject area by sponsoring Banzai, a software program that uses real-life simulations of financial dilemmas, intended to explicate the concepts in a fun and engaging way. Available in all 50 states, over 35,000 teachers have brought the value of Banzai to their students and it has begun making waves in Polk County as well.

Thanks to Magnify Credit Union’s sponsorship, teachers in Bartow, Lakeland, Mulberry, and Winter Haven can bring this innovative program to their students at no cost to them.

“Magnify chose to sponsor Banzai because we wanted to support education in our community. We realize that many graduating students are not prepared for the day-to-day costs that await them. We hope when students use the Banzai program, they learn basic budgeting and the value of a dollar,” said Magnify Credit Union President and CEO since 2004, John Santarpia.

“We hope that by exposing students to real-life adult financial dilemmas, from taming a budget and paying auto insurance to navigating taxes, they will learn to make the right choices which will allow them to build wealth. This will help them and the community they live in,” the CEO concluded.

A teacher at Winter Haven High School, Dawanda Drayton has been using Banzai for 5 years and expressed that she has had great success. “Students learn different useful information. It is always great to learn about money and the effects of credit. I teach seniors and I feel all high school seniors would benefit for the program. I would encourage every teacher to use the program,” said Drayton.

Banzai interactive courses are fun and FREE. Go ahead.
