Banzai Wins Two Excellence in Financial Literacy (EIFLE) Awards
Banzai accepted two EIFLE awards—Adults’ Education Program of the Year for the Banzai Wellness Center, and Game of the Year-Electronic for Consumer Smarts.
Banzai won two of 13 awards at the annual Excellence in Financial Literacy Education Awards on April 8th. Presented by the Institute of Financial Literacy at the Annual Conference on Financial Education, the EIFLE awards acknowledge the innovation, dedication, and commitment of individuals and organizations that support financial literacy education worldwide.
“Our mission is to create accessible, engaging financial education products for kids and adults, so these awards are encouraging. They’re confirmation we’re moving in the right direction,” says Nikole Rios, Banzai’s Director of Education and an award recipient.
Banzai is thrilled that our curriculum was numbered among the 13 EIFLE awards presented at the Annual Conference of Financial Education held April 8, 2024. We’d like to express a deep gratitude to the Institute of Financial Literacy as well as all of our bank, credit union, and community partners who’ve been instrumental in eliminating educational barriers by providing free, interactive software that seamlessly supports a variety of teaching styles and expectations.
2024 EIFLE Awards
Banzai accepted two EIFLE awards—Adults’ Education Program of the Year for the Banzai Wellness Center, and Game of the Year-Electronic for Consumer Smarts.
The Wellness Center is a community-facing website complete with more than 40 hours of life literacy resources such as calculators, Coaches, articles, and assessments. Consumer Smarts is a trial-and-error game directed to students ages 13-18 that teaches practical skills for making informed spending decisions.
“Using games in education is proven to increase student engagement,” Rios says. “This game is fun, it’s silly, but most importantly, it helps students understand what it means to be an informed consumer.”
